Type of Financial Institution

The history of Banque Eric Sturdza is one of an entrepreneur. The bank's origins date back to 1762, but it was in 1985, when Eric Sturdza, who was managing Baring Brothers Bank in Switzerland, laid the foundations for a new model of private banking.

Under Mr. Sturdza's leadership, the bank has grown to the ideal size to maintain a culture of dynamism and initiative. It is a conscious decision of the bank to maintain its human size.

In January 2016, the bank changed its name from Banque Baring Brothers Sturdza to Banque Eric Sturdza, reflecting the evolution of the management of the group over the past ten years.

Today, the Group has four lines of business: banking, via Banque Eric Sturdza, wealth management and family office with Corraterie Gestion, and Asset Management through E.I. Sturdza Strategic Management Limited.

Faithful to its entrepreneurial culture, the Group continues to attract talent and develop new partnerships with financial specialists.
