Type of Financial Institution

The “Leih- & Spar-Kassa des See-Bezirks” is founded a few weeks before the modern Swiss federal state. On July 15, 1848, the non-profit association of the lake district decided to use the new bank to awaken the "sense of economy" and to promote trade and commerce. The town of Uznach becomes the place of business.

For the 100th anniversary, the board of directors is increasing the contributions to the founding association, the non-profit society of the See district. To this day, the bank's contributions are the basis for the social work of this voluntary commission.

Bank Linth has announced investments of CHF 12 million in its branch network by 2020. In doing so, she continues to rely consistently on personal advice on site. In the course of the year, the construction work for the complete renovation of the headquarters and the office in Uznach will start. In 2017, the bank will move into a new building in Siebnen. Due to an asbestos refurbishment, the renovation of the Bank Linth building in Rapperswil has been postponed to autumn 2017.
